Description
This solo exhibition of artist Wilhelm Senoner, curated by Elena Filippi, means to celebrate the Centenary of the Great War, underlining the importance and value of historical testimony and the fundamental role of artistic expression.
In addition to the cultural value, this exhibit aims to help visitors reflect on the relationship between man and nature, honouring the many fallen of the First World War by choosing an artist such as Senoner, who lives in a frontier land: Val Gardena.
In this series of works, human figures rendered essentially are constantly searching for internal balance and conversation with the world around them, thus becoming symbols of the human condition.
The sculptures, which represent men and women in their day-to-day, are bigger than natural, realised in lime wood and bronze and painted with acrylic colours and mineral pigments.
