Description

The photographic project “Return to nature”, started in 2015 in the Vicenza, Padova, Belluno and Trento provinces, is made up of a series of black and white shots which represent an early summary of Alessandro Zaffonato’s work. Active as early as 2005, he dedicated himself to nature photography, later becoming interested in reportages, portraits and nudes.

In this project we may observe a series of images that represent the point of view of the human subject and that of the surrounding environment, embodying the balance between man and Earth, restored by the clever use of photography and light.

Exploring our environment and recovering memories, as well as the process of building an image, are part of the photographer’s implicit intention to look to the past while never giving up on the future.

The artist shows us the complex relationship between technology and nature, highlighting the possibility of reconnecting with the latter without giving up the comforts of progress, by using tools in an intelligent and balanced manner as well as creating a relationship based on listening skills, observation and courage.
